Although Agile software development is getting more and more popular, only a few organisations decide to do the full Agile transition. The reasons behind it may vary between organisations, but usually it is because of the costs, or the customer does not really care how the software is developed, or not everybody from the organisation wants to do it and the list goes on. But it doesn’t have to be like this, because it is possible to use certain Agile techniques in any kind of environment, and they don’t require a full Agile transition.
In my presentation I’m going to show how to make the daily work more effective using certain parts of eXtreme Programming, Scrum and Kanban. For example, how to introduce the daily stand-up meeting and do it effective, or how to do effectively and iterative planning for the next week, next iteration, or how to decide when it is worth doing Test Driven Development or Pair Programming.
